Program Overview
By the end of this 9-week program, your child will build confidence working with numbers to 20 and beyond, strengthen addition and subtraction skills, and develop flexible strategies to solve problems independently through hands-on learning.
Weekly Breakdown
Week 1 – Number Builders: Build and represent numbers to 20 to develop strong number understanding
Week 2 – Counting On Confidence: Strengthen efficient counting on and counting back strategies
Week 3 – Addition in Action: Explore and solve addition problems using hands-on materials
Week 4 – Subtraction Made Clear: Develop a clear understanding of subtraction through practical models
Week 5 – Make 10 Strategy: Use number bonds to 10 to support faster and more confident calculation
Week 6 – Fact Fluency Boost: Build confidence and speed with key addition and subtraction facts
Week 7 – Number Patterns: Explore patterns and strengthen understanding of number sequences
Week 8 – Problem-Solving Detectives: Apply skills to solve simple problems using hands-on strategies
Week 9 – Maths Confidence Challenge: Consolidate skills through games, practice, and guided support
Session Format
Each 30-minute session is structured for focus and engagement:

- 5-minute wind-down
Short, consistent sessions help students stay engaged, build confidence quickly, and develop a genuine understanding of maths concepts.

About Your Teacher
Ms. Allwright has over 10 years of teaching experience across schools in Melbourne and Canada. She is passionate about making learning interactive, hands-on, and accessible for all students, particularly those who benefit from a different approach to maths.

Tutoring Session Policy
For the safety and wellbeing of all students, parents/guardians are required to remain on-site during tutoring sessions (either inside the venue or within the immediate car park area).
At this time, refunds are not available for change of mind or missed sessions, including those due to illness or other personal circumstances.
If your child has been recently unwell or has a lingering cough, we kindly ask that they wear a mask during the session where possible, to help protect other students and the teacher.
